Bad news.
Today's XRay shows that the bone hasn't healed and that my foot is now at much more of an angle than it was when the frame came off. The Dr is concerned that it will collapse completely so I'm now waiting for a return to lizzie-land.
This one will be awkward as there is nothing much to work with so we are going to have a bone graft mixed with bone morphogenic protein (OP/1) to try and get the bones to join, and a free flap to cover up the wound - this is basically a muscle graft (not sure which muscle I can afford to donate to this).
It'll be back in a lizzie for perhaps another year - whoopee!

Hi Martin
I have followed your progess with a lizzie for over a year now, I found this site after doing some research on lizzie's prior to having one fitted myself at Hope Hospital following a nasty RTA whilst driving home from work in 2005. Sorry to hear about your leg, hang in there and you will be fine.
Regards
Jonathan
